Crook Point has been a family affair for over 150 years. Our ancestors immigrated from Ireland and Northern Europe eventually traveling west on the Oregon Trail finally arriving in Smith River, California in 1852. In 1867, they made their way back to Oregon and established a sheep and cattle ranch known today as Crook Point. A working ranch still operates on the property on roughly 3,000 acres.
Some 25 years ago, our family decided to share this land that we love and established our vacation rentals on what we believe is the most magnificent coast in the western United States. In 2018, we formally added our wedding venues as a unique service offering at Crook Point. It has been our pleasure to host visitors from all over the world at this unique and very private destination.
We are so very proud of the heritage of our Pacific Coast pioneer family and honored beyond measure to carry on their legacy.
